Okay…this is going to be a big post because I could only narrow it down to SIX finalists instead of three. Yes, I’m totally passing the responsibility of narrowing it down onto you I think you’ll forgive me eventually.

Here they are (in no particular order). Please vote for the one you feel best represents the three scenes they chose. Votes should be cast on how much you like their three overall choices. Please leave a comment either below in the comments or on the corresponding Facebook post with the name of the person who put together your favorite soundtrack.

Finalist #1: Becky Mutter

1. Rihanna -Stay (I passed it onto you a few weeks ago) To me its the ultimate Sean and Ruby song. Its tangled and broken and beautiful and perfect.
2. Kings of Leon-Revelry (Is my Sean song for Ruby)- to me this is the song that is on repeat for him when he is thinking about Ruby. The words are so perfect for the things that I think we will all find out he has been feeling when we finally get to his novella, but the lyrics are insanely in step with whats happened so far in the books too.
3. Butterly Boucher- A bitter pill (basically this is the song that played for me the last 3 pages of Scarred (I don’t want to give away spoilers but I think if you go back and play this song and read those last 3 pages your mind might be blown) So that makes it the song I’ll be starting from for Fractured.

Finalist #2: Lori Ann Worley

1. (Imagine Dragons – Its time) The frustration between Sean and Ruby when she needs more for him but he is who he is.
2. (Toad and The Wet Sprocket – Take Her Down) The tension and agony when ruby is being held against her will and traumatized in Caged.
3. (Sheryl Crow – Strong Enough) Ruby to Sean

Finalist #3: Lisa Stephenson

1. In Framed when Cooper was in his towel and Ruby/Scarlet was in her black undies and a tight threadbare tank top and being all sweaty, The kissing the body slamming against the wall, the heavy breathing, the bedroom the ripping of the clothes, all I thought of that scene was Closer by NIN
2. In Caged when Ruby realized that she was in love with Sean, when she was staring in his eyes, telling her she was his (mine) and the passionate kiss that consumed them as one. JoJo ,”Disaster” ,because of what he stands for and she is who he destroys
3. In Scarred, right at the end of the book between Sean and Ruby/Scarlet where Scarlet took over Ruby and walking away from Sean, and then Seans Epilogue David Guetta – She Wolf (Falling To Pieces) ft. Sia the one part of the lyrics “You loved me and I froze in time
   Hungry for that flesh of mine
   But I can’t compete with the she-wolf, who has brought me to my knees
   What do you see in those yellow eyes?”

Finalist #4: Courtney Burghduf

1. Nine Inch Nails We’re In this Together. I think it describes Ruby and Sean and how their fate is intertwined since he put his life on the line.
2. Dead Bodies Everywhere-Korn It reminds me of the scence where Ruby is trying to get away from the Pack and she let’s Scarlet loose.
3. Feel This in Your Heart- Cold When I listen to this song I feel like the lyrics describe how he feels for Ruby

Finalist #5: Diana Feduccia Welchans

1. Blurry – Puddle of Mudd Check the lyrics, it’s Cooper thinking about Ruby while he’s struggling with his whole mess
2. Down in a Hole – Alice In Chains. I think this one describes how he felt when he couldn’t cope and he realized he was in WAY over his head.
3. Breaking the Girl – Red Hot Chili Peppers. This one is about his love/hate relationship with Ruby during his drug phase.

Finalist #6: Selinalynn Maeder

1. “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie for Ruby and Matty
2. “Possession” by Sarah McLachlan for Sean and Ruby
3. “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails for Ruby and Cooper in the infamous “hallway” scene

I’m not sure how you’re going to pick a favorite, but I hope you can. I clearly couldn’t

MARCH 5TH, 2013 will be the day for FRACTURED to go live!!!

And while I’m sharing release dates, I have another one coming up on the horizon.

JULY 19th, 2013 will be the debut of child #2 for me and my family My husband is super excited, I’m exhausted (but excited too), and my son thinks I’m having a baby dump truck. I hope that doesn’t turn out to be the case.

So, I am going to do EVERYTHING I can to be sure that you get FRACTURED delivered to your kindles on March 5th, without issue. Pregnancy hasn’t been nearly as kind to me this time around as it was last time, so if something becomes an issue with the release date, I will do my best to keep you all informed as quickly as i can!

PROLOGUE TO FRACTURED:

Silence . . .

It surrounded me, permeating the air while it clung to the trees. I felt hemmed in by it, claustrophobic. The sun was falling just below the canopy of autumn leaves far above my head, creating an eerie glow of fiery crimson and gold. I sat confused as I stared up at the ceiling of foliage. The trees hadn’t started to change, not that I remembered.

A flash of memory jarred me to my feet: my fear, Scarlet’s passion, Sean’s anger, Matty’s death. I was suffocated by it, reliving the moment when Scarlet shoved me down, down so deep inside myself that I drowned in the darkness of my soul, tucked away. Never to be let out. Never to be found again. She told me this herself, told me I would pay.

I had lived in a state of black suspension from that moment on. No sense of time or place or existence, lost in a perpetual tunnel of night. There was no escape. Scarlet had warned me several times that she wasn’t to be trifled with, that her retribution was epic. A liar she was not.

So why had she suddenly let me out? Why leave me stranded in the woods, naked, left to the elements, helpless? Because she knew it would bring back the personal hell I’d once lived through, when my parents were murdered and I Changed, my werewolf side emerging. Out of all my nightmares, it was the only one that I had on a recurring basis. She wanted me to live it again.

As if on cue, three darkened figures slowly wound their way towards me, weaving through the trees so fluidly that they nearly lulled me into a trance. Nearly.

My fight or flight response kicked in when I heard the screams that were ripped from my parents’ throats that fateful night echo through my brain. I took off in a flat out sprint in the opposite direction of their approach. My skin stung while the thick underbrush bit me repeatedly, but the pain motivated me, driving me forward.

I heard the rhythmic cadence of their running getting louder and louder behind me, but I didn’t dare look. I recognized the sound. They weren’t human. I was.

Knowing that my escape was futile, I panicked, hoping that Scarlet, angry though she was, would come to my aid as she always had in the past. If not for me, then at least to save herself. She had a reliable sense of self-interest and an undying commitment to staying alive. I screamed at her, both inside and aloud, searching through my mind for her, desperately seeking my other half.

The hit from behind me drove me face first into a fallen tree. The pain was immediate and fierce. As my vision narrowed and darkened, I made a very sobering realization.

Scarlet was gone.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Now, if I could only cement a release date for this beautifully covered novel!
